Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any third-party tracking. It does not load external fonts or scripts. If this changes, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for your consent first.

How the enquiry form works

Our enquiry form does not store anything on this website. Pressing “Send my enquiry” opens your own email program with a pre-filled message addressed to hello@ranc.ie. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it from your email program, and it is then handled like any other email we receive.

We only use the information you provide in the form to reply to your enquiry and arrange an intro conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list. The consent box confirms you are happy for us to do this; you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with service providers who act on our behalf, such as:

  • Google Workspace (Google), our email provider, which stores emails sent to hello@ranc.ie
  • Netlify, our website hosting provider, which keeps short-term server logs
  • WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp; your messages are then also handled under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy
  • Our accountant or professional advisers, where needed

We may also disclose data where required by law, for example to Revenue or other public authorities.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as an EU adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

  • General enquiries that don’t lead to an engagement: up to 12 months after our last contact.
  • Client records: for the duration of the engagement and up to 6 years afterwards, in line with Irish tax and company law requirements.
  • Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period in line with their policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased in certain circumstances;
  • restrict or object to our processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • data portability, where processing is based on contract or consent;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ranc.ie. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, Ireland’s supervisory authority: www.dataprotection.ie.
